LETBOND® 4400 Series Instant Adhesives

Description

The LETBOND® 4400 Series features industrial-grade cyanoacrylate adhesives designed for high-performance bonding. The series offers a versatile range of solutions, including low-to-high viscosity profiles, clear and black-pigmented formulas, and specialized low-odor/low-blooming variants. These single-component, moisture-curing adhesives provide rapid fixture times and high bond strength, making them ideal for the assembly of metals, plastics, rubbers, wood, textiles, and electronic components.

Features

  • Rapid Fixturing: Achieves initial bond strength within 1 to 90 seconds. Curing speed can be further accelerated using activators (e.g., LETBOND® 7705 or 2009).
  • Diverse Formulations: Available from ultra-low viscosities to non-drip gels. Gel variants are specifically engineered for vertical applications and porous substrates.
  • Low Blooming & Low Odor: Models such as 4403, 4408, and 4460 are optimized for aesthetically sensitive applications where “white frosting” (blooming) must be avoided.
  • Toughened Performance: Grades like 4410, 4480, and 4482 offer superior impact resistance and thermal stability for harsh operating environments.
  • Broad Substrate Compatibility: Engineered for difficult-to-bond materials (e.g., EPDM, PP, PE, Silicone). Specialized formulas enhance adhesion on low-energy surfaces.
  • Wide Temperature Range: Most models operate between -50°C and +100°C, with toughened variants (e.g., 4210, 4480) capable of withstanding up to +140°C.

Applications

Electronics & Communication:

  • 4403 (Low Blooming): Precision assembly of Bluetooth headsets and wearable devices.
  • 4409 / 4454 (High Viscosity Gel): Secure bonding of capacitors and PCB components.
  • 4210 (Black Toughened): Specialized for antenna assembly and uneven surface repair.
  • 4420 (Ultra-Low Viscosity): Capillary bonding for LNB antenna hinges and base plates.

Automotive & Industrial Machinery:

  • 4410 / 4480 (Impact Resistant Black): High-strength bonding of metal and rubber under extreme conditions.
  • 4495 (General Purpose): Assembly of motor housings, magnets, and loudspeaker components.

Medical & Precision Instruments:

  • 4408 / 4460 (Low Odor/Blooming): Used in medical devices, cosmetic packaging, and high-end plastic components.

Consumer Goods & Crafts:

  • 4401 (Surface Insensitive): Optimized for wood, leather, jewelry, and footwear assembly.
  • 4402 (Medium Viscosity): Reliable bonding for standard rubber and plastic products.

High-Strength Engineering:

  • 4415 / 4416 (High Viscosity/Gap Filling): Designed for non-porous surfaces like engineering plastics and metals.
  • 4482 (High Toughness): Multi-purpose bonding for ABS, PC, metal, and wood.
  • 4406 / 4461: Recommended for difficult-to-bond plastics and elastomers.
