LETBOND® Two-Component Structural Adhesives

Description

The LETBOND® Two-Component Series consists of high-performance Acrylic-based and Epoxy-based structural adhesives. These systems require precise mixing of two parts to initiate a chemical reaction, resulting in ultra-high strength bonds. Designed for demanding structural applications, they provide excellent adhesion to metals, plastics, ceramics, wood, rubber, and composite materials. They cure at room temperature or can be heat-accelerated to form a bond layer with superior impact resistance and environmental durability.

  • Acrylic-Based Structural Adhesives: Characterized by rapid curing and excellent tolerance for slightly oily surfaces. Ideal for electronic components and composite structural bonding.

  • Epoxy-Based Structural Adhesives: Offer exceptional electrical insulation, weatherability, and high-temperature resistance. Widely used in power transmission, mechanical engineering, and composite manufacturing.

Features

  • Ease of Use: Most products feature a user-friendly 1:1 mix ratio (by volume) and cure naturally at room temperature after mixing.
  • High Strength: Delivers a combination of high tensile strength and superior lap shear strength on metal substrates.
  • Environmental Resilience: Provides outstanding resistance to high temperatures, chemicals, solvents, and moisture.
  • Broad Compatibility: Specifically engineered to bond most engineering plastics (ABS, PVC, FRP, etc.) and metals (Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Iron).
  • Electrical Properties (Epoxy): High volume resistivity and dielectric strength make these ideal for potting and securing electronic/electrical components.

Applications

  • Acrylic-Based Series
    • 1103: Bonding of motor magnets and transformer components.
    • 8760N: Multi-material structural bonding for stainless steel, USB housings, and plastic/metal interfaces.
    • 8764 / 8765: High-performance bonding for wind turbine blades, automotive spoilers, sporting goods, and fiberglass (FRP) structures.
  • Epoxy-Based Series
    • 8761B / 8761C: Metal-to-plastic bonding in loudspeakers; clear versions are suitable for optical applications.
    • 8762B / 8762C: Bonding of magnets to PC materials, carbon fiber products, and copper coil assemblies.
    • 8763B / 8763C: Rapid-cure versions for electronic and loudspeaker sub-assemblies.
    • 8768: High-temperature resistant grade for aerospace metal structural components.
    • 8781: Bonding fan blades to iron rings and providing insulation protection for electronic circuits.
