LETBOND® 6600 Series Retaining Compounds (Anaerobic)

Description

The LETBOND® 6600 Series consists of single-component anaerobic structural retaining compounds specifically engineered for the high-strength bonding of cylindrical metal assemblies, such as bearings, bushings, rotors, shafts, and pump housings. Utilizing anaerobic curing technology, these products cure rapidly when confined between close-fitting metal surfaces in the absence of oxygen. They effectively prevent loosening and leakage caused by shock, vibration, or thermal expansion, providing a superior alternative to traditional mechanical joining methods like keys, snap rings, and set screws.

  • High-Strength Structural Bonding: Specialized grades achieve a shear strength exceeding 250 kgf/cm², ensuring maximum load-bearing capacity.
  • Versatile Viscosity Range: Available from low-viscosity penetrating types to high-viscosity pastes to accommodate slip fits, press fits, and large-gap filling requirements.
  • Rapid Fixturing: Typical Fixture Time is reached within 10–15 minutes, with a Full Cure achieved in 24 hours.
  • Thermal Resilience: Standard grades withstand temperatures from -54°C to +150°C, while high-temperature variants (e.g., 6620) can perform up to +200°C.
  • Superior Chemical Stability: Highly resistant to industrial solvents, including engine oil, brake fluid, gasoline, ethanol, and ethylene glycol, with excellent long-term anti-aging properties.
  • Simplified Application: Single-component design requires no mixing; ready for use immediately after surface cleaning.

Applications

  • LETBOND® 6603: General-purpose retaining for cylindrical metal parts to prevent loosening and leakage. Ideal for small-diameter slip-fit or press-fit assemblies.
  • LETBOND® 6609: Specialized for securing rotor shafts, micro-motor shafts, and bushings to reinforce press-fit strength.
  • LETBOND® 6620 (High Temp): A high-viscosity, medium-high strength compound for radiator locator pins and automatic transmission pump housing bearings. Heat resistant up to 200°C.
  • LETBOND® 6638 (Fast Cure): Optimized for bearing and bushing assembly. Capable of filling gaps up to 0.25mm with rapid curing performance.
  • LETBOND® 6648: Engineered for filling keyways and spline clearances, as well as high-strength structural assembly.
  • LETBOND® 6680: A medium-viscosity grade used to replace set screws and clamping rings in press-fitted bearings and idler shaft assemblies.
