During the shut-off cycle, the spool’s movement displaces a small volume of material back into the nozzle, creating an inherent “suck-back” effect that effectively prevents dripping. To enhance longevity and performance, an integrated oil chamber located above the upper seal establishes an additional liquid barrier, preventing moisture from contaminating the spool. This streamlined design ensures that maintenance remains straightforward and requires no specialized tools.

While the valve is primarily configured to be opened by air pressure and closed by a robust internal return spring (single-acting), an auxiliary port allows for a double-acting setup where air pressure drives the closing mechanism instead. For maximum installation flexibility, the TS941 Series features side ports that can be rotated to suit specific workspace requirements. The hardened spool, moving through premium-grade seals, is engineered to handle demanding materials with viscosities reaching 3,000,000 cps and operating pressures up to 2,500 psi (172 bar). Finally, the 1/4″ NPT output provides a versatile interface for various tip terminations.
